Back in 2015, I submitted a limited series pitch to Oni Press that was based on the first novella I wrote, and while it was rejected, I actually found myself invigorated. Well, after I got over the disappointment, of course; who gets a pitch accepted on your first try? But anyway, I discovered a lot of problems with the original story when I was putting the pitch together and essentially rewrote the entire thing for the most part. There were certain elements that I wanted to keep, naturally, and at times, I felt like I was recklessly dismantling everything. But somehow I knew that The Legion was growing up, going through that awful thing we know as puberty. I worked on it sporadically over the next several months, but due to personal issues, I sort of packed it away, hoping to eventually return to it.
It wasn't until a few months ago that the characters started calling out to me again, and only a few weeks ago did I actually start writing again. A lot is changing from even the pitch changes, but with every alteration, I get more and more excited. So stay tuned!
